Dots are a graphic element often used as a pattern in many projects of Jongerius. Confetti brings movement to the textile surface, although the repeat of the pattern is small. Through colour blocking and scattered placement, Confetti creates the illusion of spheres in motion foregrounded on a solid matte surface. Dynamic material and colour pairings are evident in Confetti. The textiles combine metallic nylon yarn with wool, which adds an atmospheric quality through natural colour variation, creating depth and textural contrast to great effect.
